Agradoot – Leadership Program 
for Social Workers

AGRADOOT is a value-based youth leadership and social transformation initiative by Jnana Prabodhini, Leadership Development Centre designed to nurture socially conscious, action-oriented Social Workers from different NGOs across Maharashtra. The project aims to identify, train, and support Social Workers who are committed to contributing to society through grassroots leadership, volunteering, and community engagement.

Project Objectives

  • To develop social leaders with clarity of purpose, leadership skills, and field-level understanding of societal issues.

  • To create a network of young changemakers working on real social challenges in urban and rural communities.

Project Structure

AGRADOOT is conducted through a Four-stage Programme

model in duration of One Year:

* Stage 1: Outreach & Application
Applications are invited through NGOs, institutions, colleges and open networks.

* Stage 2: Screening & Selection Camp
Applicants undergo an assessment process including application review, interviews, and a 2-day identification/selection camp.

* Stage 3: 4-days Residential Training Camp
Selected participants go through a learning journey consisting of an intensive residential training program focused on team-building, values, decision-making, social analysis, and project planning.

* Stage 4 :  Grassroots Action Project
Participants implement a 6-months field project within their organisations, for chosen communities, under the mentorship and guidance of NGO heads or other senior leaders..

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must:

    • Be between 23–30 years of age

    • Demonstrate interest in social work, leadership, or community development

    • Be willing to commit to the full duration of the program

    • Be open to field visits, training camps, and project implementation
